looking for a good reseller plan

Posted by Allenskd, 10-02-2005, 02:04 PM
I been thinking of starting a little hosting service, for blogs and forum communities, and personals site, and others i guess I'm looking something.. reasonable, not to overpriced like some other hosts do sometime. with ns1.mydomain.com and ssh access. space around 15-20 gb if possible. bandwidth.. well hmm 60gb i think. I hear that whmautopilot is full with security holes, so if you guys can suggest me a solution that would be nice If someone want to recommend me to a nice host please do so

I doubt you'll need 15-20GB space if you're just starting out, you should get a small plan and keep upgrading as it's needed . Additionally, what will you be needing SSH access for? If you provide a good reason some hosts may offer, while others may impose a strict policy. A very simple and easy to use billing solution for a company just starting is Client Exec which can be found at www.clientexec.com. It's $8/month cheaper than WHM Auto Pilot, as well . As for finding a host, you shoud be able to find a few just looking around the forum. Once you find a few, compile a list then use the Search Feature of the forum to find reviews about these hosts. That should help you find the best host. Always remember, you get what you pay for =). Cheers,

i have used whoiscart for my website, it takes a little while to setup although it is great value for money at only $35 with only one purchase. Their support community is great, and it is easy to customise.

I checked in resellerzoom.com I fine it a good start, but I sent them a mail with some of my questions. If they are all ok. Well I better go planning

Another vote for whoiscart here! I doubt you'll need such high space/bw to start out with...best to find a host which will let you move up their packages over time.

Well, resellerzoom haven't send a mail yet, any personal choice you guys have?

It would probably be good to take into account that the sales department might not be manned 24/7 during weekends.

I'm sure if you just take a look around these forums you will find other hosts as well. I know Hosting/ResellerZOOM has good reviews around here so that's probably how you came accross them . As you choose, always remember that if you pay very low costs for high allotments (space, transfer) then you are asking for trouble.

Then what hosting would you recommend?

Posted by layer0, 10-03-2005, 07:22 PM
Well....the only cPanel reseller host I've ever used (a good one) would be www.eleven2.com. I used them WAY BACK and my experience was pretty decent.

I am going to tell you what I tell all potential resellers. Be sure that the choice you make is right. Make sure your host will be there 24/7, make sure you have contact with someone 24/7, make sure its good uptime, and stability. Good luck in finding a host, and I wish you the best.

Thanks, I'm going to keep looking, I'm starting to get some doubts in resellerzoom.
