hello, We, , looking at purchasing two servers, bridging their ips addresses, to immedatity backup on another server, which when one breaks or has problems the other kicks in. While also having all its hard drives hot swappable in raid 1, with two 10,000 rpm hard disks in raid with the operating system and cpanel , four others in raid providing storage space, connected to a 10mb/s conntection and located within london. Then also the system will be backed up daily off site. The servers will be based on the latest pentium D 840 3.2ghz 2x1mb cache processors, super micro motherboard, the two smaller hard drives being Western Digital 36.7Gb Raptor's, another two Maxtor Plus 10 80Gb 8MB Cache and the last two being Maxtor Diamondmax 10 250GB with 16mb cache. Both servers will have 2gb of OCZ Performance Dual Channel ram. We will offer packages with the following sizes, 3gb, 7gb, 15gb, and 32gb, the bandwidth will be ten times the amount of the space. I am looking to find out the sort of costs that i should charge, can some one say how much they would pay for different account sizes. Last edited by ldcdc; 10-02-2005 at 07:29 PM.

I would suggest to browse up to date hosting plan comparison sites or by Googling on relevant search terms. You will easily find competing costs for reseller plans with comparable server specifactions. Good luck with your hosting!

Exactly how do you intend to accomplish this? If you can accomplish what you want to, which I HIGHLY doubt, then you can charge $20/gig of space for lower plans and $8-10/gig of space for higher plans without much of an issue. I would not suggest offering a 32GB plan, by the time someone uses that much they will probably need a dedicated server. Cheers, Last edited by layer0; 10-02-2005 at 07:11 PM.
