Hosting a T-1 line [split from old thread]
Posted by YouGotWooned, 01-25-2011, 01:54 PM | Hey!
I have a quick question
I'm currently thinking of hosting a t1 connection in my small apartment complex and actually planning to host and provide the internet service to my neighbors maybe for a monthly charge.
My apartment complex holds maybe 18 rooms
assuming only 15 is occupied and 12 members agreed to it.
is it possible to host a server and provide internet service to 12 of the members.
Thanks for your time and consideration

T3 is faster - about 40 megabits a second. But I should think the installation prices are very high, as it needs repeaters every few hundred feet.
There is a reason why phone companies developed fibre ...
