Hosting Advice

Posted by nlikens, 03-11-2005, 12:13 PM
Ok heres the scenerio, Im a web designer and Im in the process of redesigning my site. I want to add hosting to my site, but I only want an "affiliate" but I want the hosting to look like my own. Ive looked around and everyone wants to sell me space and then I manage the setting/customer service/domain transfer etc. I do not want to handle billing or customer service, I only want to resell hosting at a profit and then have the hosting company cut me a check. I actually did this once with Bluegenesis.com, but they were not that good and expensive. I recieved a % Check every three months but I want to take it to the next level this time around with my new site build. Can anyone recommend someone reliable with a good interface and a good profit margin, with RECURRING revenue for me? I currently host with 1and1 and Im extremely happy, but all they offer for resellers is a one time "finders" fee. nlikens

nlikens since no one has responded to this thread I take it no one knows anyone who offers recurring affiliate revenue. I honestly can say I don't either my advice would be to find some web hosts who have good reviews here on WHT then just email asking them about it. Lots of web hosts use billing software that supports it they may have some sort of affiliate program they don't mention on their website.

Take a look at resellerspanel.com. You get your own website, completely branded, set your own price etc. All you have to do is take care of getting people to signup. After that they take care of support and billing, its like your own company without doing anything Its a little inflexible at times but might be what your looking for.

Ok that sound like the type of thing Im looking for, with me taking on a lot of freelance projects I can offer them hosting also... I thought there would be more people on here doing this same thing...

Hi nlikens, Do you mind to share with us what was wrong with BlueGenesis reseller scheme? What do you mean with "not that good"? Anyway, you might try futurahost.com. They're more oriented to european and latinamerican customers, but they will give you 10% recurrent commission on both their shared hosting and dedicated server plans. Regards,

try to offer your clients a complete packege of network services including domain sales, merchant aplications, hosting accounts, ssl, etc, all of this can be integreted to your site design, i suggest godaddy, take a lok at their offers, an example they can offer you domains to sell as low as 8 $, they are very reliable, i am doing business with them and i am profesionaly satisfied, anyway they have 3 plans to sell their staff starting from 99$ per year and the best plan is 300& per year, my choice. enjoy your bussines, Florin
