how to map a backup drive of fast host to my linux system?
Posted by akasharya, 11-03-2010, 01:22 AM | I have a linux server and I am using backup solution from fasthost.
to start backup process I need to map the backup drive to my server. backup drive's path if x.x.x.x:/home/backup.
I have tried this on my linux server.
1. mount -t nfs ip:/home/backup /backup
but its not giving any result.
2. simply mounting is also not giving any result.
it has also a username password to access the backup drive but when I am trying to ftp from server to backup drive, it says ftp connection refused.
ping is working fine and both the servers are with fasthost.
please suggest how to map it.

I am not familiar with their products but do they offer the option to do NFS mounts?
