I have a linux server and I am using backup solution from fasthost. to start backup process I need to map the backup drive to my server. backup drive's path if x.x.x.x:/home/backup. I have tried this on my linux server. 1. mount -t nfs ip:/home/backup /backup but its not giving any result. 2. simply mounting is also not giving any result. it has also a username password to access the backup drive but when I am trying to ftp from server to backup drive, it says ftp connection refused. ping is working fine and both the servers are with fasthost. please suggest how to map it.

Have you placed a ticket with FastHosts? This seems like a question they could answer a little better I am not familiar with their products but do they offer the option to do NFS mounts?
