lypha hosting?

Posted by Mizery, 03-07-2005, 01:59 PM
Hi I was looking into some hosts and was wondering if anyone has ever used Lypha as a host? I was also wondering if it would be wise to go for the 1 year plan or stick with month to month. Thanks!

Here is a link to 109 threads that contain Lypha - http://www.webhostingtalk.com/search...der=descending My suggestion if you go with them is start month to month and then go yearly, if you don't like them after a month or two you can switch and it doesn't cost you as much.

Hmm does anyone know of a fairly good host.. I don't I will need much room I would just like to have a good bit of bandwidth just incase the site picks up I don't have to go running for a new host.

Mizery, maybe you should make your requirements more specific. One other thing I can suggest is to try and buy close to what you need now and in the relative near future, not what you think you might need in a particular remote scenario. Be prepared to pay a decent sum for decent hosting and to upgrade when you need more space/bandwidth. When one comsumes more, one has to pay more. Also, hosts can promise a lot of things, it doens't mean they'll actually deliver. Make yourself a list of possible hosts and then do your research on them: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/search.php?s= Good luck!

ldcdc that is a very a good point about expanding later. I guess it's just that most of the hosts I've seen only offer like 1-2 plans. That is why I was asking if anyone knew of any that are good about expanding later on. I think 25-30GB a month to start will be more than enough with perhaps 300-500MB of space.

You plan on Reselling right away? I've used Vision Online Network, vonetwork.com, for 3 years now and no problems, my site has never been down. They have alot of plans, so you can start small and grow. I have not done a search for them after I signed up and I have had no problems with them. Also, I don't work for them or know anyone there. Good luck and have a good one. Take care, B

Misery, I wish you good luck with your new host! Maybe you can come back after a few months and give us a review.

I just cancelled my service with Lypha. Reason for my cancellation is becuase the service was slow, site went down a few times in a 2 week period (thats all I know about, wasn't monitoring it) and support wasn't very helpful. In one instance whm/cpanel and webmail were down all day and their response to me was that it was just a temporary outage and is now fixed. All day is not a temporary outage in my book especially when you rely on these services. I am now in the process of trying to get my money back since they offer a 30 day money back gurantee. It is not looking good. I can't get a response from anyone there. They have terminated my service but won't say anything about my refund. I may have to chalk that up as a loss. I have since signed up with site5 and they seem to be really good! No complaints as of yet. Thanks, Daniel
