226 Output truncated to 2000 matches - How to increase limit for the beginner?

can anyone help me increase the limit please.
I have putty but very limited knowledge on how to use it.

| Posted by Patrick, 11-01-2010, 08:02 AM | | Find the pure-ftpd.conf file on your server and change the following setting to how many files are required to be displayed:
LimitRecursion 2000 8
The pure-ftpd.conf file may be located under:
/etc/pure-ftpd.conf
/usr/local/etc/pure-ftpd.conf
After you have made the necessary changes, restart the FTP service.
