What is up with hostv?

Posted by easydolla, 12-02-2008, 04:22 AM
I have a VPS with them, I thought they were a good host but everyday the server has gone down, not for long but idk Now my server has been down for a few hours and I'm really pissed right now!! I submitted a few tickets, posted on their forum, heard nothing yet. And it is such a coincidence that their site is up, hostv.com and cirtex.com, but, how wierd is it that only the subdomain support.hostv.com is down? WTF!? And this was a REALLY bad time for my server to go down. I have a high traffic website and applied for an important affiliate account and got rejected for the server timing out. WTF!? Is anybody else with them? If so is your server down, and what are your experiences with them? It is wierd though, I can connect FTP to my site and SSH but no virtuozza, etc.

Hmmm....support.hostv.com is up now, and all server statuses look fine.

Well, I got an email back from them stating that my server is up now but it isnt on my side, they never said what the cause of the problem is either, that is really all I want to know

Hi, Please note we did not have any downtime for our VPS Nodes or Helpdesk/Infrastructure. This is an isolated issue but I'm glad it is resolved now. Just be sure to contact helpdesk in the future to check and we can investigate to see what caused the issue. Just remember we're always here to help, and feel free to post/check our hostv forums in future for updates/help. Cheers

Wow, I feel bad about this post, I got in way over my head. It was in fact an isolated issue, it wasn't your fault but mine as too many processes were getting killed due to lack of memory But I upgraded to the next package Again, I apologize , not trying to slander your name at all. Guys, I really recommend hostv

No worries easydolla, we all get like that sometimes. I'm sure I have created a few threads doing the same thing. Our websites... are precious... "my precious!"
