Domain Reseller Problems with Ehostpros

Posted by hrhosting, 03-16-2005, 10:15 AM
Hello. I was just wondering if anyone out there has a domain reseller account with ehostpros? We have had one (domain reseller account), since late in 2002 and have been paid my commissions twice. This time around it is just a complete nightmare. All the support tickets simply have a reply about notifying the admin... then they close it.. or put it on hold. It's really not about the money, it's just a speck of an amount compared to what our hosting company generates, but... I honestly cannot believe they are ducking the issue. Both times before we still had to request our money to be paid but it only took 2 days. Been about a week now. Anyone have any ideas? Oh yeah, Yes I have used their support Desk, their Live chat and called them via a phone number on a whois report. Nothing but the same answer. At first they stated they did not show us as a reseller, so we promptly showed proof of the 2 previous payments and also supplied domain names that were just purchased through our domain resellers account. I've usually found ehostpros to be professional..... but now I have to wonder if they've topped the hill and are rolling down. Any input is appreciate, and just maybe Rupi will see this or get wind of it, because he surely doesn't pay attention to his mails or support tickets. P.S. - This has been going on for a week now.

I've usually found ehostpros to be professional..... but now I have to wonder if they've topped the hill and are rolling down. This is usually what does happen sometimes and is the reason why there's a large number of hosting companies out there. Considering that you've been with them so long, I wonder if this is just a burp or the beginning of the end. That being said, you might want to start thinking of a "backup" host as you wait it out and see. eHostPros doesn't really get too much talk here (I think they're main marketing strategy is having a *very* good search engine position). Thanks. We don't use them for web hosting.. we actually have our own servers for that. We just use them to resell domain names. Hopefully it'll iron out and I would love to post that we have worked it out in here. All up to ehostpros now.

Companies turning their back to clients, overcharging them, mispaying or not paying at all are becoming a very common issue with web hosts. This situation is very bad for everyone who owns a hosting business. People talk and when they do sometimes they forget to name names. I think it is time to create some kind of license to become a hosting company, before this kind of thing hurts us all. I am not saying that ehostpros is doing any of the above but the subject is really becoming very common here on WHT. What do you big guys have to say?

Same with Serverplex. We've been with them for 2 years and now our ad exchange server running on PostgreSQL has been down for 2 weeks, I submit new tickets every day, and nothing. You can imagine how good it feels to see 404 error pages instead of banners on your customers's pages. We're desperatly looking for a reliable PostgreSQL reseller accounts provider.

Hi Charles: I am the Customer Support Manager for ServerPlex and I am making sure that our Level2 dept. looks at your request immediately. In the recent security updates this was fallen off, but we are committed to making sure you are 100% operational. Please reply back to the support ticket and we will work together to get this fixed. Have a great day, Thanks, Chris R.
