Posted by GoFindUs, 10-22-2010, 11:45 AM
Can anyone post server speed from your location for one of my server that seems to be running slow downloads from other locations. Please use this download to test and provide me the results and suggestion to improve if any needed. http://74.50.116.147/bigtest.tgz This is one of my tests I have done and it seems a little slow. root@arcadia [~]# wget http://cachefly.cachefly.net/10mb.test --2010-10-22 07:28:44-- http://cachefly.cachefly.net/10mb.test Resolving cachefly.cachefly.net... 205.234.175.175 Connecting to cachefly.cachefly.net|205.234.175.175|:80... connected. HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 200 OK Length: 10485760 (10M) [application/octet-stream] Saving to: `10mb.test' 100%[============================================================================>] 10,485,760 1.97M/s in 5.2s Thank You

Tried from three locations, Texas, Kansas and Canada and all were under 1MB/sec... terrible speeds really. HiVelocity usually has a good network ... have you checked to see what duplex the NIC is set to? . .
