Remember back when either Microsoft's hotmail.com or the domain that hosted Microsoft Passport had expired? This was AGES (many years ago), but the domain registration had lapsed, and hotmail was down until some generous soul paid the (then $35) annual domain renewal fee. :-P

I cant see how people actually forget renewals.
MS has their own OS, can't they setup something that auto renews their domains like 2-3 months ahead? lol

By the way, I have the domain name getmsn.com which has been expired and forgot to reneval by Microsoft

They probably don't care because they are switching to Live, and they probably could go after the domain on the basis of trademarks.

man i cant believe that actually happened,i mean,i would always think that what would happen if a domain such as a Yahoo or a Google would some how expire without noticing,that would trully be un-imaginable.
