Looking for 100% automated and completely private branded reseller program

Posted by Tmonster, 01-15-2005, 08:58 AM
Hi everyone. I'm just wondering if there is 100% automated and completely private branded reseller program around. What I mean exactly is: I want to create a web hosting website and promote it. All other features should be managed by Reseller Program Creators but under my name or at least unbranded. 1. Billing customers. 2. Creating and terminating their accounts. 3. Providing necessary support. In addition, this company should have good reputation on the market, affordable costs on sharing hosting, reliable bandwidth channels and enough people to provide 24/7 live support. If you know some companies which meet all requirements above please let me know.

Personally, I'd hate to have anyone have that amount of control over any business that I ran.

I need to find one too. Anyone got recommendation?

maybe try: varhosting.net they support your customers and offer ClientExec as billing software.

Laurence is right. I would prefer to handle at least 1 and 2 myself.

I agree with NexDog. If you are serious about a web hosting venture, then you should be more involved in what goes on. Just my 2 cents worth. - Mike

Are you thinking about something like http://resellerpanel.com/ or http://www.bulixhost.com/index.html ?

Posted by rondo, 01-15-2005, 08:35 PM
Why don't you just join an affiliate program?

Posted by Joshua, 01-15-2005, 11:34 PM
I believe that HostingZoom.com can take care of those features for you. They can provide support to your end-users, and include WHM Autopilot with your account so you can automatically take care of billing and account creation. However, with instant setup webhosts, you're going to have a higher fraud/spam/phishing site signup rate. We tend to get many more abuse complaints on servers that we sell, where our clients use instant setup programs such as WHMAP. While I have seen some good reviews of HostingZoom, offering free support to end users, while allowing resellers to host unlimited accounts (as well as oversell their resources) seems like a bit of a risk.

http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...hreadid=353725 is a very similar thread. You should do a search on WHT( http://www.webhostingtalk.com/search.php?s= ) to find even more options.

I think the Tmonster may be looking at a solutions where he doesnt need to know anything. Including installation of billing softwae and gateway integration. Am I right? =) Joshua

Greetings: I'm not sure of the #3 requirement, but H-Sphere providers with reseller programs meets the first two requirements. Thank you.

Posted by ldcdc, 01-16-2005, 02:06 PM
H-Sphere does offer the interface for billing, creating and terminating accounts, but this doesn't mean that billing is done by the H-Sphere reseller account provider. A merchant account (or third party solution) is still needed. What the OP is looking for sounds more like a type of affiliate program.

I think resellerpanel is what you're looking for, I know at least one guy who uses it, and he seems to have pretty decent luck with it. Personally, I'd hate it, you're putting your business in the hands of someone else...

Posted by Tmonster, 01-16-2005, 06:55 PM
100% right. Actually I would like to create new product but need such solution to be the part of this product.

Posted by joshuayip, 01-16-2005, 11:39 PM
A new product build on top of web hosting services? Joshua

Posted by Tom O'Connor, 01-17-2005, 12:38 AM
As said about an affiliate program may be worth a look if you want another host to do all the work. I know CJ.com have some decent providers on offer. Just an idea.

Posted by Tmonster, 01-17-2005, 05:25 AM
Affiliate program can't help since I need to buid my own hosting site and customers should believe that it is my DC, my support team, my billing, etc. Yes. Sorry I can't say more at this time, but would love to share this idea with you after I complete my research.

Posted by joshuayip, 01-17-2005, 05:36 AM
Alright then, all the best with your research. And tell us how do you find solution to your problem. We be most happy to hear =) Joshua

Posted by vegasblaze, 01-17-2005, 10:23 AM
Of course, you could always simply partner up with someone who has hosting experience and be the "silent" partner. Just finance the venture and allow your partner to do all the work. I am sure you can find plenty of people willing to do that if you post about it. Good luck. -- BlaZe --

Posted by Tmonster, 01-17-2005, 10:42 AM
I already got plenty of such proposals. But I'm not looking for a revenue from such deal, I want to get a technical partner and test a new product based on existing and the most important thing - reliable and reputable solution.

Posted by kewlu, 01-17-2005, 03:44 PM
I think you're really looking for a "private label" program?? It's really easy to start a hosting companies these days, why not just rent a server and outsource everytihng?? You get the same benefit.

Posted by markjut, 01-17-2005, 04:16 PM
I would prefer to handle some of that myself rather than let other people run my company

Posted by Tmonster, 01-17-2005, 06:42 PM
As I explained before hosting wil be part of new product which should be present but I don't want to get profit from this part and prefer to give this profit to hosting provider and outsource all the job to him.

Does anyone know Resellerpanel competitors? Maybe bigger and more solid?

Posted by Jeffreyw, 01-20-2005, 09:48 PM
www.bulixhost.com - i believe works like resellerspanel.com www.aussieaffiliates.com (inactive) - used to have this type of reseller strategy, but they took it down because of bugs in the script they used. This company used to run by www.aussiehosts.com

Posted by niyogi, 01-22-2005, 07:16 AM
I thought I'd chime in here and say a few words. :-) Doing end-customer support isn't too difficult - handling upgrades and billing issues is something we don't like to handle because the policies and decisions are best managed by the owners of the reseller account. I think this bit of management is something resellers don't mind (since it's money management in the end - a reason why they are reselling in the first place). However, support is the messy stuff that most resellers don't want to "deal with" (or can't because 24x7 chat and helpdesk support is just too expensive to maintain). Roj

Ive searched and searched but resellerspanel seems to be it! I'd also love to learn of more similar services.

Hi, I know of Resellers/datacenter offer 1) ClientExec ( billingsystem)+ SohoLaunch ( websitebuilder to all your domains hosted) + Fantastico de Luxe + WHM $19.95/month Unlimited space/band 2) Lpanel/ Hspere 10GB/200GB with 4GB ram Xeon servers 3) Ready Domains with everything automatic for you with Resell accounts ( not resellerpanel ) custom design and real accounts! Please email me for links: mailto wannabiz@bob.fi ( I am new to forum and cannot post links yet)

Posted by wannabiz, 01-22-2005, 05:07 PM
Hi, 1) httpvision.com is one with ClientExec ( billingsystem)+ SohoLaunch ( websitebuilder to all your domains hosted) + Fantastico de Luxe + WHM $19.95/month Unlimited space/band Still you have to implement with your Template ( design) I know that you can get complete website for about $50 at scriptlance.com/ ( to get the price $19.95 you have to login to ebay ) So one solution is that find a trusted Reseller and buy a script for billing and automatic setup of your custumers account like Whoiscart and go to scriptlance.com/ and setup your request from programmers with your Max Cost ex. $50 If you find or know a goodlooking webhost today just put this with your request in Scriptlance! There are also ready done domain/ websites for sale ( ebay ) if you prefer fast solutions! Still I think it is better to get an own account and start from that!

why dont you purchase 1 dedicated server.

Posted by wannabiz, 01-22-2005, 05:38 PM
Dedicated server Isn´t it a very expensive solution for a newbies with a small budget? //marina

Posted by wannabiz, 01-22-2005, 05:44 PM
About Dedicated server, I know about a very cheap Own Server solution by Bahnof in Sweden with 100mps for just 295SKR ( $30) per month. Well I am no expert on this but what costs I have seen this seems to be cheap??? They have some campaign - I just saw their Ads, If any Intrested I can check and send link.... Marina

Posted by niyogi, 01-22-2005, 06:18 PM
Most don't want the hassles of having to manage their own dedicated servers (they can be a pain if you don't know what you are doing)... Roj

Posted by wannabiz, 01-22-2005, 06:29 PM
Roj, That is right, Like Bahnof is a very cheap solutions , compare others with $100 and more.. Still you have to buy all program you want to offer your clients... - your cost could be very high here So this solution is suitable when clients and business are high (-: //marina

Please dont anyone use or touch httpvision.com i just purchased a site for 2800AUD, was backing it up and they deleted it all before i even got 5% downloaded. All gone. I have owned it for oneday. Its not even my host but my hosts reseller. Thanks for letting me get this off my chest...

Posted by wannabiz, 01-23-2005, 12:02 PM
Hi, Very Bad! Why did they delete your site? Did you get money back? //Marina

Posted by anunnaki, 01-23-2005, 12:12 PM
They deleted it because it was using 10-20% cpu, but this was just backingup power. My host still cant find any info, its just gone, i have a domain with traffic for the money now.

Posted by anunnaki, 01-23-2005, 07:13 PM
36 hours later monday morning and have been told we may have a backup, i will edit here if needed later. Still doesnt change that they deleted it. I did not mention the host because he was helping but does sell here.

Then who is this? I know its not the point but I am curious as to why you needed a backup after one day?

Posted by wannabiz, 01-27-2005, 03:36 PM
Hi, I have to say that I am hosted with httpvision.com and I am very satisfied with them so far. Their Support is great 10 points! Living in Finland so our timetable (Httpvision ) is a lot different , but I get reply within 30 min whenever I have asked them! //Marina

Posted by anunnaki, 01-27-2005, 09:57 PM
It was my host providers provider, the host we were with was vexial.net, (i did not mention vexial because they did not delete us) they got there servers/reseller account from httpvision, httpvision deleted the hosting account and vexial did not know and thought it was a dns issue. I bought the site from sitepoint forums that day, i had the site for less than 24 hours, the first thing i do is when buying a site is to backup. They even had to give the backup to us in 2 files because it was to large. Why would i not need a backup after oneday? Should i wait 2 weeks after i buy a site to get a backup? There was about 3 gigs to backup, the person i purchased from had not a recent backup. I just searched for httpvision, this was the only thread. I was out nearly 2800aud, i got a backup 40 hours later i had no support. the site that was nearly nothing after they deleted is thecelebrityspotlight.com 10,000 quality celeb pics Edit and above i did say this "Its not even my host but my hosts reseller." And the site has been hosted there for a few months, it was just having problems with cpanel backup, more than 2 gig files. Last edited by anunnaki; 01-27-2005 at 10:11 PM.

I dont care if people use them, go ahead, but what else would you do if somebody just deleted your webhosting company after you payed for another one (example), you would try to warn people.

Posted by wannabiz, 01-28-2005, 05:32 AM
Hi, This is just an horror story, I visited thecelebrityspotlight.com, nice site! I saw there are some adult +18 forum. Is it possible that your pic was against their TOS? Httpvision don´t host any adult matrial. I have a friendly adult chat program - but since their Tos I do not risk that they delete my account. Whatever they should not delete anything without warning...? //Marina

Posted by anunnaki, 01-28-2005, 05:47 AM
I thought that, its not really adult, no more than jackson on tv. I can understand, but its only celebritys with a nipple hanging out ect. Vexial doesnt mention it though and we didnt know it was hosted at httpvision. httpvision harmed vexial by just deleting anyway when they could have suspended us. I am still uploading after 3 days.
