I am new to this forum but feel I must post to warn all users to avoid aspwebserver.com
I purchased a unix reseller pack from them in May. Since then the server up-time has been very poor despite repeated contact through their support system. Their support is absoulutely terrible.
However to top it all off, today I received two e-mails from them:

Second e-mail:

Right enough when I login to my hosting account it shows that none of my domains now exist. Both e-mails were sent over a (holiday) weekend and so no real notice was given. None of the sites breached any of their regulations. Many of the domains did not have a complete backup, all the setting have gone and of course all e-mails are bouncing and lost customers / web traffic.
I cannot even recreate the sites since the old DNS server is gone and they have not bothered to tell me their new server address.
I have seriously considered legal action, however I am unable to find a real address for them.
Looks like I'll be spending the rest of the week trying to find a new host.

The worse case happened on 23 Aug 2003. The website is down the whole day. When I contact them, I got the message "Server crashed, we hope to restore it in two days".
Later I got the same emails as vte received and then all my contents are gone. My pages, images and databases are gone.
Today, the site is down again since morning. I sent two emails to them and until now nobody replied.
I am really fed up and frustrated with them.

I have an account with them, they are down most of the time, Loosing me lots of business during their down time.
The server crash and took almost 1 week to restore, and even when it had been restored some of the component is not working correctly
Very bad support level

I had a few accounts with them, some of the email went missing. I asked them 3 - 4 times they just keep saying it has been fixed.
But it has not.

No, that's a lie. I am suffering from the same bullschitt described in the above posts, and would like to warn anyone considering them to stay away. Right now I'm running a petition for an amnesty organisation to help five innocent health workers sentenced to death in Libya, and those bastards decided to reinstall their server at this precise moment without warning. That is beyond unacceptable.
However, here's a question for you guys: what do you recommend as an alternative? I was attracted to the ASPwebServer by their low price, and I guess I got what I'm payin for... Can I find decent hosting for about $100-$150 US / year which includes 5 to 10 domain names, and about 500 Megs??

At times it was horrible, specially in 2003, however they improved their windows hosting system drastically few months ago. Even developed their own control panel software and started offering cool stuffs like asp.net and specially php, mysq! I must say that I am impresesed by this improvement and find it really reliable now, which is really contrasting to what it used to be.
However I still wont suggest their linux hosting but for windows I give them A+

Dont know abt thier linux accounts but their windows service is just fine as far as I am concerned.

You can PM me if you want info about any certain site. But believe me the staff of aspwebserver is very nice and their response very good.
Again no idea about their linux packages.
