Slow speed via http and FTP

Hello, For some reason I cant download from/to my server at more than 1 mbps. With download manager and multiple connections I can download at 2mbps while I am connected to the internet at 5mbps+ Are there any settings for Apache/proFTPD which could affect the down/up speed? I am able to wget via SSH and download files onto my server at 10+mbps.

Hi there, I'd confirm with your web host if all is well with their pipes that your server uses. I'd then check to see if things like mod_bw are enabled in Apache, and whether they are being used or not.
