I don't think you can make such a sweeping (and untrue) statement such as that, and expect a serious discussion to follow...

Posted by Alperen, 08-11-2004, 02:27 AM
then let s say` the most recommended`?

Posted by Rob T, 08-11-2004, 03:21 AM
Well, what you are asking for really depends on a few things, but one really big one - price. I don't think there is a single "best" reseller host, especially when you consider your needs. Do you need a lot of support? If so, it would be worth it for you to pay a bit more to have that available to you. Do you need large amounts of disk space or bandwidth for as cheap as you can get it? There are hosts out there that offer that too. If you want a serious recommendation, you should qualify your remarks by listing out your needs and price range, and then ask for recommendations on hosts that meet your criteria. Just my 2 cents

thank you for your reply. i thought it is written in this forum lots of times. i just want to know a few qualified service. forexample i found a list of datacenters and examples hosts in forums... what i want is a list like this but for reseller providers... if it is possible of course... i will be glad

I think everyone has their own views on who is best for them. Popular hosts include bluewho.com and httpme.com, although their visible structure won't suit everyone. I also have a lot of time for resellernexus.com, based purely on their representatives here. I'm not sure a thread like this will serve any useful purpose, as many responses will be biased, or based on limited experience. The best advice would be to read a few reviews, search the advertising forums, and contact each and every host that impresses you. Establish a dialogue with them, and get to know the people who run it, and see how much time they have for you, and how quickly and helpfully they respond to your questions, if possible at various times of the day. Choosing a reseller host is a very important decision, as ultimately you hope customers will be relying on you for services. It is right that you take this decision seriously, and invest the time and energy to making the right decision. If things go wrong, it's your reputation on the line. Good luck

It was best said right there.. there is no all around "best host" answer to be given.. plus on this foum many people run hosting companies themselves (2 people who do responded to this thread already) Your best bet is to determine what is important to you . Is it cost? space? support? every host has varying levels of all those factors . Thats just scratching the surface of things to consider..try and contact the hosts you narrow your selection down to and ask questions.. Of course they want your business so will be on their best behavior, but it still helps to get as much info before deciding on a final host. Good luck.I hope this helps..

Posted by snickn, 08-18-2004, 08:07 AM
You want everything for nothing, that's why you haven't found your "king and queen". You want to find the king and queen of hosting on a servant's salary.

Posted by mdrussell, 08-18-2004, 08:10 AM
I'm sure he'll be able to find some such service provided by a host from a managed.com server

Posted by Alperen, 08-18-2004, 08:25 AM
gazzin.com zoneserv.com seems fine but new so managed.com and servermatrix.com are affordable! theplanet nac and others... hi-price! when u r buying a t-shirt it has not to be well know brand to be quality. when u buy a well known brand u give the money to the name, brand.... but i dont want to give money to brand while im choosing my reseller plan. that is all !! do you have any advice instead of arguing? if you know better and best reseller hosting comp. pls u say then ok? i will be very happy about it best wishes, Alperen

You've had plenty of advice, but you've just ignored it. I think you need to learn these lessons the hard way

Posted by privHost, 08-18-2004, 09:09 AM
Many others have said the same thing here and elsewhere. It is the support that you receive should be the most important factor, not just the amount of bandwidth and disk space. Especially if you expect to have clients who are happy with your services. So increase your budget a bit (2x? 3x?) and perhaps you will find more choices with quality. Think about it like this: Can you afford to wait 24 hours, 12 hours, or even 8 hours, for a response to your emergency (however you define it) support request, while your own customers are breathing down your neck? And when you get responded to, can your issue be resolved quickly or do you get a content-free response back? Personally, I would recommend setting a budget that you can spend, and choose the host based on their competency and support track record. Don't pay much attention to big amount of bandwidth and disk space. Those are nice, but should not be the overidding factors. Just don't trade good support for high bandwidth/space limits, which may not be fully utilized anyway.

Yes Alperen Managed.com could be belong any of the majesticallity of the dedicated server providers... The king is ThePlanet/ServerMatrix(according to me King is ThePlanet and Queen is ServerMatrix) they are same company but The Planet Servers are the highest end tech and Network is more faster then Server Matrix. But it could be described as ThePlanet is the King and Ev1 is the Queen. If you search the polls and reviews of the D.Server Providers then you will see most of the Web Hosting Service Providers think as me. Have a nice day.

Posted by NeoGen, 08-18-2004, 01:47 PM
Well all I can say about is King in making and that is DDI Good package, excellent features and decent price.

Posted by Alperen, 08-24-2004, 05:27 AM
what is the most important for you, reliable?fast?support?price? or what? please dont say all. of course each of them are important but im asking for the most important for you when you are looking for a reseller plan. thanks, Alperen

Posted by freak, 08-24-2004, 05:37 AM
Hmm... That is pretty strange, asking others what your requirements are... However, I would say reliablity. I am hosting other's site. I'd rather the company treat me badly then to have my sites go down every now and then.

Posted by Alperen, 08-24-2004, 05:40 AM
i also say reliablity but then cheap then fast and then support

Posted by Aussie Bob, 08-24-2004, 06:55 AM
All.

Posted by RaTz, 08-24-2004, 09:19 AM
not only they are important. they are essential. how could you even possibly think of doing business without all those elements in your business?

Posted by snickn, 08-24-2004, 09:22 AM
I don't think Price is nearly as much of a factora as being reliable and having fast support...When people say Price is important here, they want it plain cheap...$2 for 20GB type cheap. You can succeed without competing on on price.

Posted by serverunion, 08-24-2004, 11:00 AM
as the old man always told me, "Buy right, cry once". Meaning make it right the first time and spend some money so we dont have to hear about you pain in the future

Posted by ldcdc, 08-24-2004, 11:24 AM
I fully agree. Although price is always a factor, looking for dirt cheap and be willing to make big concessions when it comes to support is not the recipe for success as a hosting reseller.
