R1Soft CDP on Windows or Linux

What's best practice for R1Soft CDP. What do you run it on, Windows or Linux. I mean the backup server itself, not the nodes being backed up, but the CDP manager.

I wish R1Soft supported Solaris, perfect for ZFS. In the meantime - Linux.

I run several r1soft cdp server's on linux. You can get better uptime - less reboots needed (think ksplice). I wish zfs had better fragmentation. Don't get me wrong they have improved on that problem, but not up to my standards yet.

It never crossed my mind to put Ksplice on it, sheesh I put it on my client boxes. Good call! What do you do to combat fragmentation?
