Problem with DNS configuration (Please help.)
Posted by zammazingo, 04-28-2010, 04:28 AM | Hello,
I bought a dedicated server from 100tb.com few days ago. I forwarded my domain to their DNS server from my registars web page.
I added my domain to their DNS server using their control panel.
I have hid my domain name and IP address for security reasons. Please assume that my domain is XXXXXXXX.org and my IP is 123.123.123.123.
Now I can ping XXXXXXXX.org and it succeeds as expected.
When I try to ping www.XXXXXXXX.org or mail.XXXXXXXX.org or some other sub domain I get an error. It basically can not resolve the name.
Below is the zone file I got from their web page.
Could you please tell me what is wrong? And how can i get www.XXXXXXXX.org and mail.XXXXXXXX.org to resolve to my ip address?
Thank you so much for your help.
I really appreciate it.

do I need to do anything else for MX names to be resolved?
Thanks alot for your help.
