Is there nothing in their announcement forum? I'm not a member so cannot see but that'd be the first place to check.

Posted by MKHosting, 09-15-2008, 05:48 AM
Have you logged a support ticket? Sometimes hosts provide better support by ticket/email that live chat.

Posted by lalala, 09-15-2008, 05:49 AM
Same here, its been more than 6-hour downtime! My clients are furious and I cannot do anything at all except to follow up my tickets. Any other innohosting clients here having the same problem? Could you please update us since I still do not have access to the inno forums.

Yes it's true ... I am an Innohosting customer ... Server 13 have been down for more than 8 hrs now ... Contacted support and they supposed to escalate the issue to admin but still no reply yet. My clients ate furious ! I am realy disappointed ..

According to the forums, there is some sort of power issue at the datacenter, but this has not even been confirmed. I contacted support requested an ETA and received this response. There is another thread in the outage section regarding WebNX having power issues, but I haven't browsed through all 11 pages of it. I know the server that my account is on (Server13) is located in WebNX, so I am sure it is all related. http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=722529 Anyway, all we can do is wait; and brace ourselves for when the angry clients begin calling. I know I got 1 hour of sleep last night, so this should be fun! Last edited by bdford; 09-15-2008 at 07:07 AM.

Servers go down and there are outages in DC, but as the inno staff is handling this is very unprofessional. We know power has been restored hours ago, there status thread is been updated 8 hours ago. Tech staff don't know whats going on. Will see how it goes. Tharani

It is true that webnx had a partial power failure and although the main power came back on around 8p PDT, it's probably going to take hours for them to get all the servers up and running. You should be able to go to forums.innohosting.com for updates as this is where they post them.

Posted by Laci, 09-15-2008, 07:53 AM
I cant get in the forums at inno I seem to have forgotten my data..... I am on server 13....anyone know what the issue is ....its been hours.... it started at 11 or so PM lastnight.

Posted by bdford, 09-15-2008, 07:57 AM
That pretty much sums it up.

Posted by Laci, 09-15-2008, 08:00 AM

Posted by Laci, 09-15-2008, 08:13 AM
I answered my own question •The electrical system is backed up by multiple 2000KW diesel generators.

Posted by Laci, 09-15-2008, 08:15 AM
one last thing... Im so so glad I have an off network site for times like this... every provider I have ever had thought I was crazy for wanting / having one..... been around too long to put all my eggs in one place.... not because of the company but because of how things go in the hosting world.

Posted by acebeat, 09-15-2008, 08:28 AM
I have seen Innohosting staff on the forums here before so hopefully they will provide an update soon

Reply from Innohosting... Still waiting on server to come online...

Posted by Laci, 09-15-2008, 08:46 AM
We wait and hope basically....Inno cant make the DC come back online.... soon If I were them I would be thinking about getting another server at a different DC and taking their backups and restoring us. atleast thats what I would hope.

Posted by Laci, 09-15-2008, 08:48 AM
well I have done all I can do... Im not going to freak out...yet...thank you WHT for having a place to talk about this stuff.

Posted by DxSEO, 09-15-2008, 08:53 AM
Yes what we do only wait 1 day 2 day 3 day ................ Its realy bad not any innohosting support reply here evern rammen not reply in this thread. If we ask for offer and buying the hosting all give rapid respose. But we are aksing for downtime their rapid response system also not work this time. Also they not given and news of server down. Many people not know that their site is down and their business is affected with downtime. What other people say its normal or unprofessional ?

Posted by Laci, 09-15-2008, 09:01 AM

Posted by DxSEO, 09-15-2008, 09:06 AM
They are loosing money ? Big company not losse anything we loose eerything Even they are not give significant answer see this what i recive on chat Support: Hello and thank you for your enquiry. Support: Hello and thank you for your enquiry. At this time Server13 is still down. Our NOC technicians are working diligently to restore service to all customers located on Server13. We can understand your frustrations during this period of downtime. Services will be online as soon as possible. At this current time, we do not have any further updates, information, or ETA's to Server13. Support: Thank you and have a wonderful day! https://server.iad.liveperson.net/hc...o/chatinfo.gifChat session has been terminated by the site operator. My 10+ client take their money back and they are told me about legal cases. This is beuase we are not know this issue. Why they not send us mail about this problem ? Why they not put this issue on their website ? Why not rameen or other innohosting staff reply in this thread ? They all are busy to making money so they not put any informaiton about this on their website. Last edited by DxSEO; 09-15-2008 at 09:10 AM.

... yikes ...

Posted by bdford, 09-15-2008, 09:18 AM
I would have loved to have received more information during the outage, but Inno might not have had any information to give out. I will say that a few more updates to the announcements forum would have put me more at ease; even if the posts were just "still waiting to hear back from the DC". However, as long as these downtime events are few-and-far-between, I am happy with Innohosting.

Posted by Laci, 09-15-2008, 10:03 AM
Im up too , and I agree with you totally.

Posted by rv_irl, 09-15-2008, 03:59 PM
Sorry for not updating this earlier. I would firstly like to state that WHT is not a place we provide updates, however for those that weren't able to access our forums for whatever reason, I'm glad in this case, you were able to discuss things on WHT (thank you to ri12ku2002 for opening the thread, although not in the best words, your frustration is understandable!)) . We have had to provide updates via those contacting me and other staff via MSN, email, tickets, live chat, telephone and our forums. The outage was limited and we can only provide whatever updates we have. I understand some would have preferred more frequent updates even if nothing has changed, and I have taken this view into account. The outage was indeed out of our hands and a DC problem. If you check the WebNX thread opened recently (the DC servers were at) you'll see people experiencing similar lengths of downtime. Of course, all SLA requests will be honoured. It is a bit unfair to be basing whether we are good or not based on a single issue which was out of our control. Our reviews received even during this outage do say a lot about our things are generally handled, and like any company - problems do arise and we do our best to resolve them with all available resources. I apologise to any inconvenience customers have experienced during this issue, and are genuinely concerned about any inconvenience any of our resellers/clients experience. I would be happy to listen to any feedback any of you have to provide, simply PM me here, or open a ticket with us.. I won't be checking this thread often (if at all, so please keep all your replies sent to us directly).. To all those showing support, thank you very much, it is greatly appreciated. And to everyone else, thank you very much for your patience & understanding and we look forward to many more months/years of providing you the top notch services you have become accustomed to

Posted by SoundsGood, 09-15-2008, 04:05 PM
It is true that this outage seems to have been completely out of your hands. But, to be fair, most of the non-positive feedback has not been based on this one single issue. Most of it was brought up prior to this outage.

Posted by rv_irl, 09-15-2008, 04:23 PM
Can you PM me what you are referring to? This whole thread is related to the outage, I'm not seeing anything in this thread not related to the outage and we rarely receive non positive feedback..

Posted by SoundsGood, 09-15-2008, 04:39 PM
Yep ...

Posted by AL-Benjamin, 09-15-2008, 06:26 PM
while I think we will all agree any outage is a pain, I'm not sure you can blame Rameen / Chris for the outage. Having said that perhaps a more speedy update or emergency mailing list may be in order for the future.

Posted by supportfacility, 09-16-2008, 08:25 AM
It is good in one place that IH-Rameen and the live chat tech people did inform about the real situation they had to their customers. I would appreciate it.

Posted by ThatScriptGuy, 09-17-2008, 12:52 AM
My server (10) has been down for awhile again tonight. Two nights in a row - It's not looking good. I spoke with live chat, who said he was rebooting the server (It wasn't responding to anything) and it would be back up in a minute or two......15 minutes later, and...

My problem is not end my ftp give errors (421 too many connection from this ip) SUPPORT #12781 support tell me there is problem with my ftp software they sugges me some name and i go for all but problem is same i again disappointed with innohosting. Now i decide to move from innohosting to others. Hope my remain payment u refund me thx

Posted by hD-Scott, 09-21-2008, 12:34 PM
I'm sorry you aren't having a good experience with Inno! I have had excellent service with them for the past 8 months and they have ALWAYS responded promptly to my concerns and have helped me resolve all of them. However, if you are asking for a refund because you are not happy, make sure you do it through their proper channels so that it can be handled efficiently. Although Rameen and Chris are frequent visitors to WHT, they are not obligated to respond to support/cancel/refund requests here. (That's just in case you didn't already request through proper channels.) I wish you the best of luck in finding a solution to your needs.

Posted by SoundsGood, 09-21-2008, 12:49 PM
Other than Rameen and Chris, any idea how many actual employees they have?

Posted by IH-Chris, 09-21-2008, 12:57 PM
ri12ku2002, to elaborate on your issue.. "You will need to adjust your FTP client to lower the connections it makes to the FTP server. As the error states, "421 Too many connections (8) from this ip", you are connecting over 8 times consecutively. Please see the following URL for information on how to adjust this to something more reasonable - http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/documentation/filetransfer.htm" 8 connections per IP for FTP is a default setting and is a reasonable limit. I'm sorry to hear you have left. At any rate, all the best and I hope you have no problems with your new host.

Posted by DxSEO, 09-21-2008, 05:01 PM
HI already did all i know very well about these. When i recive this error i fix the setting to 1 and i change the all ftp password to check that any of other not login with ftp. But problem is same i talk with online chat and support but not recive significant solution.

Posted by hD-Scott, 09-21-2008, 07:37 PM
I'm not sure, but I've talked to at least three other people on support before.

Posted by bear, 09-21-2008, 09:30 PM
Since the outage is no longer an outage, and this has departed into supporting FTP and other questions, let's close it. For those with questions about how your account(s) and connections to them function, I'd suggest you use their regular support channels...which is not WHT.
