Hello, sorry for my pure language, just i have a question here, when some website got down by ddos, some friend told me that you can add some configuration to your dns between 2 server and you domain dns control panel, so if the domain get down by the webserber-1 the dns well move to the webserver-2 and your website will still work! how could we do that please ? anything related to this question would be helpfull and nice from you.

This cannot be said true. This depends on ddos attack as ddos attack are ip based and domain based sometimes.

Not possible. In order to achieve that, the domain should be hosted on 2 different web servers and assuming that the attack is IP based. If the attack is domain based, having multiple DNS servers OR webservers doesn't matter.

Hello, you can prevent your server against DDOS

I think what your friend means is 'round robin' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Round_robin_DNS , but its not an effective method of load balancing as said in the wiki article, and doesn't in any way 'protect' your server against IP based (D)DoS, however if an IP gets nullrouted lbnamed could be used to direct traffic to another IP, which would work until the attacker switches to the other IP and that IP gets nullrouted too. And of course if your DNS servers get (D)DoS'd as well this wouldn't do any good, so if you do do this then you might want to look at professional DNS hosting, I know easydns.com provide round robin but I don't know if their setup also checks if the IP is online.
