I'm looking for a cheap reliable reseller

I'm with Hostroute.com at the moment. They've been great, but with one really annoying exception. The php installations that they run on their servers do not have upload_tmp_dir set in the php.ini. This means there is no temporary directory to upload to. I have customers who want web based content management to upload images and text for new stock items. This is not possible using php without having a temporary directory to upload to. If anyone has any advice I'd be grateful. By the way if anyone is thinking of using hostroute.com, as long as my problem is of no consequence to you, then I can recommend them. Ridiculously cheap and also reliable. They just have a very crappy PHP configuration

Do they run PHPSuExec possibly? If so, you can use your own php.ini

You may be able to ask your hosting company to change the php.ini because the change would probably benafit everyone.

Thanks for your replies. NICKN : No, unfortunately they don't run PHPSuExec. Zinet: I tried that already. They sent me an email saying that upload_tmp_dir was not set deliberately, because if it was set the temporary directory would be open to abuse ?? Thanks anyway guys.
