worldzonepro not responding to emails

Posted by jackc, 03-10-2004, 03:44 AM
Hi Tried signing up with worldzonepro and have been trying to contact them for over a week now through all their support emaill addresses but no response. I get an automatic notification of email receipt and a promise that emails will be answered shorly then zilch - I never hear from anyone. Just thankful I havent transferred any names to them - but its still a real bind waiting days for replies that just dont turn up. Anyone know a really good tried and tested linux/php/mysql/hspere reseller host? Cheers Jack

Hello and welcome to WHT! This definitely sounds like a troubling situation that I, personally, wouldn't tolerate. For H-Sphere providers, I have worked w/ matrixreseller.com and reseller-center.com, in the past, w/ good results. You can also check the Hosting Offers section and use WHT's new Host Quote too. Good luck.

Jack, If the host does not respond to even the simpliest support questions or sales questions - stay away. Imagine you need urgent support later on if you would be a customer .... There are plenty of reseller hosts around. Do a search here in the forums. It gives you time to research every name that pops up and then you can decide. Good Luck.

Hi Thanks for the welcome and encouragement! Theres a huge amount of great information here so I'm sure to have no trouble in getting fixed up with a good deal Also really ought to say that replies to my emails have now, suddenly and coincidentally, arrived from worldzonepro. No excuses or apologies were offered by worldzonepro for the delays though so I've no idea whether or not such delays are normal. BTW, that "web hosting report" is really interesting and well worth the time! Cheers Jack

Yes, I agree webhostingreport is an awesome place... Also, there are plenty of reliable hosts here who, I am sure would love to have another client... Search the forum for suggestions on shared hosts and what not. Jezzo

Send a PM to "Webdude" and ask him your questions.

Nice to know you guys are jumping onto worldzonepro without the other side of the story. Email is not 100% perfect and never will be.

Hi I wouldn't like to see anyone treated unfairly either. The basic facts, from my side, are: Two of the original emails to worldzonepro ( initial request and reminder ) were addressed to webdude@worldzonepro.com. These were automatically acknowledged as being recieved by worldzonepro. The rest were addressed to knowledgebase and support. A week passed with no reply to any of my emails. I then posted the topic on WHT. A few hours after posting the topic my emails were answered politely and in full by "webdude" and "support". The dates and time stamps in the headings of the email replies from wordlzonepro were all after the date and time of the topic posting. No apology or explanation was given for the delay. Since coming to WHT I have been made aware of much better deals with hosts whose customer support appears awesome. I now intend signing up with a host other worldzonepro and have sent them a, polite, email to say so. Cheers Jack

I didn't recieve any of those emails. I was just told by the office about this post, which they found out about from your email, hence the late response. We have been working on the mail system. Spamassassin seems to filter even emails to addresses we tell it not to. Most people are happy with the filtering, a few arent because they use their own filtering software. Since I have been working on the mail system, specially since testing with my own email (the best one to use since it gets so much junk and easy to test), I had no doubt I would miss some incoming emails, though hoped not to. Email is never 100% reliable, especially when you are trying to change the filters. I do apologize for the late response, and dont blame you for looking elsewhere. It looks like your emails did hit the mail server if you got a response, but wasnt ever dropped into my box. I just made this post regarding the email filtering issue if you want to know more about why your email didnt get thru.. Maybe someone will be able to give me some additional advice. http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...hreadid=249855

Hi Thanks for your co's explanation and apology. Have to say the reason I was so irate was that worldzonepro looked exactly what I wanted and it was a very frustrating week waiting for replies. Still - I have got myself fixed up elsewhere now and your co is aware of an email problem so the problem appears resolved. I agree that spams a public nuisance - I've no doubt that I'll be having my own problems with it shortly. Cheers Jack
