Posted by jdavidson, 12-23-2009, 05:37 AM | PHPINFO() tells me the following:
Notice the ionCube PHP Loader v3.1.32. I have added the line:
to my PHP.INI file and rebooted apache however the phpinfo file still states v3.1.32
How do I get the phpinfo to update and show that I am infact using 5.2?
Any help appreciated!

you can see php version
php -v

Posted by jdavidson, 12-23-2009, 06:28 AM | I'm wanting to get it to use the ioncube loader 5.2, but as the code shows above it looks to me to be using " ionCube PHP Loader v3.1.32"
My php version is 5.2.9.
Do you follow?

When you edit your php.ini after that can u restart httpd?

Posted by jdavidson, 12-23-2009, 07:07 AM | Already done that. Edited php.ini and entered the line above, and then restarted apache.

It might happen you may have more than one php.ini on your machine and maybe your web server use a different one try to check it.

Posted by RandomThoughts, 12-23-2009, 08:05 AM | I believe the 5.2 you're seeing there refers to the version of PHP it's running with, not the Ioncube version
May be wrong though
p.s. I set mine up recently & am using Ioncube loader 3.3.7, you might want to update

Posted by jdavidson, 12-23-2009, 10:48 AM | Thanks for everyones input but I'm not sure you are following?
1) There is definitely only 1 php.ini (i've searched)
2) The 5.2 I see is the PHP version, correct, but I'm talking about the ioncube version.
Look here:
php.ini includes:
- this loads the ioncube loader version 5.2
Now look at the phpinfo() output:
Do you notice the difference/problem? I am loading version 5.2 in the php.ini but yet it displays version 3.1.32 when checking phpinfo()
Anybody any ideas?

Edit: I've just downloaded the latest Ioncube loader from here & the readme states it's v3.3

"ionCube PHP Loader v3.1.32" shows the version OF ioncube installed on the server. IONCUBE works with PHP installed on the server.
"zend_extension = /usr/local/ioncube/ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so"
The above line indicates the version of PHP installed on the server. so what you are getting is normal and perfectly fine.

http://www.ioncube.com/loaders.php
5_2 is not about ioncube version it is about php version
