Looking for service to secure and optimize vps?
| Posted by jdk, 12-23-2009, 02:55 PM | | I have a management company that manages my dedicated servers. I am now looking for a company that will set up and optimize my VPS w/cPanel. I will need them to install things like zend optimizer, imagemagick, gd, eAccelerator, and configure a few things.
Does anyone recommend a decent company that will set up and harden VPS? I am not looking for a monthly service at this time.

Just select Build from Previously saved profile & select these 3 from the options.
Many server management companies offer one time security/optimisation , but your best bet would be ordering 1 month's service and then canceling it.

I can do a few things inside of WHM, but things like permissions of /tmp directory, and several other services I would rather leave up to someone more experienced with SSH than myself.

You can go through the vps tutorials section of WHT & a few other websites as well. Most of the times, external server management will be more expensive than the vps itself.
