e3servers.com - Any good?

Posted by acec, 03-12-2004, 03:13 AM
I have been looking at various resellers lately and my head is full to bursting. I have finally found one whose support forums are actually used - many seem to have little more than a welcome note - and everything looks good, clients seem happy, tech support appears good, just need to know if anyone has had any experience of them?

Here is something for you..... http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...=e3servers.com

I have read that and had been looking at Equivity until I found this... http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...ts+up+equivity which has put me off, I don't want to start off with a handicap. The link you refer to doesn't tell me anything about e3servers except that someone found their pplans too small for their needs. (Why couldn't I find that when I searched?)

Their forum is not exactly bustling with activity (2000 posts in almost a year) although as you say, it's more active than most hosting company's forums. Forums like HTTPme and Myacen will do 2000 posts in a month. Anyhow, haven't heard much mention of them at WHT which is suprising due to their high google rank in reseller serps. They are one of our main rivals there and doing very well at the moment.

Around 5,000/mth for HTTPme. Probably more.

Not bad. I think we do about 3000 or so - maybe 2.

I don't think we get very much traffic at all from WHT; it is mostly from other sources. And yes, I watch you in the Google serps as well....

Ya see, we all watch each other like one big happy family.

Reminds me of that song (I think from Michael Jackson): Somebody's watching me...

e3 reigning supreme at the moment too. Going to have to study that when I get a chance.

I feel the love too!

Yipee! Last time I checked we were 8th. Actually being first does not mean more flow through. I know for some keywords we had exactly the same amount of traffic whether we were first or at the bottom on the top 10. I couldn't figure out why until my wife came home with a search engine report. Her company spends 100,000.00 a year on a analysis of who clicked where and how to get a high placement in search engines. And this is what is said: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Drumroll....... Most people skip the first listing in the results and click on #2 or #3. If they don't like #2 or #3 they jump immediately to the bottom of the screen and try the bottom couple and then go the next page and click on the top couple there. Then they usually try another search. So the key positions are: 2, 3, 9, 10, 11, 12 Believe it or not. I know I routinely skip the first listing. Hmm, what am I saying about myself if we are first and I would skip it? I feel a target...
