I would normally use hostheaders to do this sharing one IP

A simple/easy way to do it: install a proxy for 2 IP's and choose the proxy in your browser(or use 3 browsers).

I guess you could add an entry in your lcoal hosts file to send requests for a certain IP to a domain name without it using dns to resolve - is this what you mean?

ok.
here is what i am trying to do.
i have a windows server with 3 Ip.
i want to surf sites with all the 3 ip at different times.
one way is change the Ip through the adapter settings.put a new ip and then surf.
what is the best way to do this?
another way would be installing diff proxy for each ip and using the proxy server but i dont know how to do this

Posted by VMhosts, 12-22-2009, 05:24 PM | Ahhh I think I understand now. I have seen ip config profile tools in the past. A little icon on the systray that allows you to select a profile. Google ip switcher or something like that

Posted by arnav, 12-22-2009, 05:29 PM | tried a few but none work with windows server 2008.
i am also ok with installing 3 proxy servers but if someone can suggest a proxy server which can run multiple instances, even that is ok/

|
Posted by VMhosts, 12-23-2009, 05:35 AM | dont even need powershell, brain obviously wasnt working last night. you can just create some batch files with the following netsh commands - check out this site
http://www.petri.co.il/configuring-w...g-settings.htm
if you are conencted via rdp you will have to reconenct with the new IP
