SLUB vs SLAB - Slab Allocator

I've been doing some tinkering with the kernel to get the best performance out of it.
I have found SLUB to be helpful in servers that do a lot of apache.
It's amazing to see load get cut in half if not more by using a tuned kernel (granted your not maxing the disk I/O).
