wsservers still down today

Any idea who the backbone for wsservers is? These issues are unlike there normal operations so if anyone can list their data source I am hoping I can find out when upgrades are due to be completed.

Today 08-25-2008 They are down for me and have been for 10 hours. the saidcom.net doesnt look right at the moment either, as well as the cheap advertisting most of the links redirect to : Bad Request (Invalid Hostname) I suspect I need to start shopping for another host.. EDIT : My monitoring software just told me its come backup! (time to take a recent backup)

Sorry to hear about your problems man. While the guys at WS have been great to work with over the past few months I finally decided to jump ship. I saw my sales drop by 80% due to server issues but now I am over at emcvps. I know everyone probably has a different take on them but so far so good and I like the fact they have some major players sharing the datacenter I am in. If it is good enough for big business I am hoping it is good enough for me . Good luck man

Did I miss something that went on with them? To me they had decent support with around an 8-12 hour turn a round but the issues with the server are what drove me to another host. If there was something I missed I would be all ears/eyes.

You can take a look at http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=586402 Although thats just a very short version of the affected users, they literally screwed hundreds of people around here. Last edited by writespeak; 08-28-2008 at 12:42 PM.

Wow man, thanks for the heads up. Maybe it's good thing I jumped when I did. I was at the data center everyone was complaining about but never had a single outage.....which makes me scratch my head again and again as to how I was so lucky. Thanks again for the info Ryan Last edited by bigks; 08-25-2008 at 09:34 PM.

Well, just wanted everyone to know I am jumping back over to wsservers.com. I went to emcvps.com and have had nothing but issues. At least the support from India was fast though..... I don't get how my sites could run fast on less resources at ws but the fact is they do.

Hello, I know people still think Saidhost/Saidcom are still a bad company. I personally think they have learnt from there mistakes after the downtime last year. I've stuck with them since they went down, as i was in the process of starting my website. Ever since they've improved there services and have more than 1 line in now also they have another center. All this is the past..... We need move forward and start thinking about the future! It's your choice if you won't ever use there services, like i said it's the PAST and the future is allways brighter Regards Danny
