What host will give me...

Posted by Axinus 79, 10-30-2003, 05:38 PM
After endless emails between myself and my current hosts support staff (interland[dot]com ) I'm finally leaving them. I've been looking around for the last day or two but can't seem to find anyone that really meets my needs... think you guys can help? What I'm looking for... - A plan similar to about 4GB of storage and roughly 30GB of monthly transfer (doesn't have to be exact) - Allows chat scripts - Nothing above about $90/month - Support that actually replies to emails in a timely fashion (within 24 hours at least) - Windows is preferred The biggest thing is really that they allow chat scripts. I cannot have a host that doesn't allow them. That's my only set back If there's anything else I should include then just ask! Thanks!

Are you wanting recommendations or offers?

And can you say which 'chat script' as it may or may not be a resource hog, which would effect offers

If you require chat scripts, which can be of high-resource usage, you should probably look into a VDS.

Recommendations but if a company offers I'll look into it also. As for the chat script it will most likely be a resource hog, but that's not my end of the job so I'm not sure yet. All I know is it's a live cam-chat and there will be quite a bit of people in it.

for $90/month you could easly get your self a managed virtual server. This way you get x amount of resouces so you can run any resouce hogs you like without worry about getting thrown off the server.

You are better off looking at your own dedicated server. EV1 does have something around $90 per month for windows server.

if it is a resource hog as you said then it is your best shot to get a dedicate server yourself. Price should be under $100/month
