Noc24

Posted by Paradise, 10-14-2003, 11:26 AM
NOC24 has provided excellent service hosting my website. Tech Support has always responded very quickly whenever I had a problem. Upgrades are done frequently providing the latest versions of software running on their servers. Cpanel is a very useful tool to manage your account when setting up administrator e-mail, FTP, MySQL, CGI scripts, Forums, Chat Rooms and many more. I’ve been with this company for 2 years and I highly recommend them for all your hosting needs. There site can be found at: http://noc24.com Last edited by anon-e-mouse; 10-17-2003 at 09:02 AM.

But it sure seems suspicious all the newbies signing up here just to post for Noc24. Did they point you in this direction? The coincidence is too overwhelming to ignore.

That's ridiculous and uncalled for.

Posted by Asverse, 10-14-2003, 06:58 PM
centrahost: I feel I need to poke my opinion in here It seems that you are always extremely worried about someone damaging your reputation. I simply made a few points in one of your posts and you blew up on me. Now you are doing it to another member. I would just like to know why? There is always going to be criticism and suspicion when you are able to make a good offer. You shouldn't be so quick to judge that everyone is after you. I also have to agree with Incognito. However, I do plan on getting a server with you in the near future to try out your service. I would like to try it out.

An eye for an eye and a post for a post

I guess I am too newb as well, I have made a post or two, I have found their service great. I don't see what is wrong with customers expressing their opinions, If mods see something fishy I am sure they would do something about it. But noc24's service is good enough to merit praise!

I hear ya amd_duron! It is good to go to a place where your opinon counts! Peace Stephen, CJ

I bought several servers from NOC24, and so far so good. I was impressed that the servers were setup within 24 hours.

Posted by CrazyTech, 10-15-2003, 06:54 AM
I'm sorry here guys, even though there may be nothing wrong with this situation of course, but it's simply very suspicious when people sign up just to praise a company. There is nothing wrong with someone who hasn't been here a while dropping and opinion, but when people sign up (especially some one-post wonders things start getting just a little fishy). It's definitely a very low and unethical business tactic that has been seen on this board many times over. I truly doubt someone like centra would do this, but the possibility is there and it has been done by others before. That's the reason why we're all so jumpy. It's not often you find people signing up just to praise a service about how good it is, making one post never to visit again. Anyways, keep up the good work Noc24!

Posted by web_hosting4u, 10-15-2003, 08:58 AM
CrazyTech, you make a good point. I was recommended to this board to see some write ups on hosts. I work with a reseller now, but starting to think about another option. So, I am here to see what people are saying. I guess I would hate to have the one post wonders swaying my opinons. I can respect an opinion of people with High Post amounts, usually tells me they are dedicated to the board they are running as well as to the service they are recommending. Thanks again, CJ

I offered the original poster an opportunity to respond, to correct any improper conclusion I might be reaching, and to clarify. You come in on the defensive and call my post ridiculous and uncalled for, while the original poster has not responded, nor still posted anything else in this or any other thread. There may be perfectly reasonable explanations, but I haven't heard them. It is just when this pattern of lots of newbie posts does occur it is frequently the result of encouragement and/or friends and/or the company itself. I am fully willing to give you the benefit of any doubt. However, my question remains open for Paradise to answer if he so chooses. To you centrahost: If you are going to use a public forum to build your business, you must become a little thicker skinned. If you react to every post that might be considered negative or questioning in such an angry or hostile manner, it will be to your detriment. As to me, I don't know anything about you or your company. However, I do not think it unreasonable to ask a follow up question when someone signs up and makes a "praise to the highest heavens" post in their first and only post. I also equally question when someone signs up just to attack a company. I would do this on any company and if I promoted my companies here would expect others to do the same.

Who is defensive here? I think your just runnin around stirring up situations. Thanks for making my point for me.

Excuse me - novice poster - I just opened a new topic noc24.com without reading the board - slap me down - This might be a good opportunity for others to discuss thier reseller and offer alternative for the seasoned professional and newbies alike - "There are SHARKS in the water" Morphine thanks, imho Last edited by anon-e-mouse; 10-17-2003 at 09:01 AM.

Incognito has been around for a while now and we have seen the forum change in many ways.. With that said many of us can pick a new marketing campaign from a mile away let alone a internet connection away. We have seen it all before, now im not saying noc24 you have told these people to come in here to post positive experiences about your company but we know that these same people are going to be posting against you when a server drops.. Good luck and have fun.. p.s first post in ages.. I thought i lost WHT forever

Posted by (Stephen), 10-16-2003, 12:08 AM
I am a customer of noc24, and I can tell you that they have never prompted me to post anywhere about anything. I simply have the small reseller plan, and I like it, so I talk about it a little bit, now, I know you aren't directly addressing me in this, but I am just not sure it is anything planned, for the reason I gave above. I think that 11.95 is a wise choice, because the support and service have been great. Hosts here like to jump on other hosts for the mildest things sometimes. OK, not going to post in anymore noc24 threads for a while, I have said enough about them for a while, I just don't like seeing when people try to bring others down.

Posted by AvailableHost, 10-16-2003, 12:43 AM
Too much posts related to NOC24 recently? Big wonder !!! This story reminds of P4Host.com in WHT.

Posted by Asverse, 10-16-2003, 12:46 AM
amd_duron, how long have you been a Noc24 customer?

Posted by NetPublicist, 10-16-2003, 01:13 AM
It makes sense to me that there would be alot of posts about NOC24 in the past two weeks. Since centrahost posted the offer on 10-04-2003 I would expect people to start posting threads to find out about NOC24 if they were thinking about signing up with one of these servers that centrahost is offering. Here is a link to the offer that centrahost posted on 10-04-2003, I know that it got me searching for more information about NOC24. http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...ighlight=noc24

Posted by CrazyTech, 10-16-2003, 06:43 AM
That's just it, although honest or not, these threads are all from people that signed up to post about how they use the service and how good it is. I personally post offers from time to time, and receive maybe a few customers and so forth, but definitely not this many this quick from just that one offer topic. I'm once again not saying centrahost or Noc24 is doing anything, I am just stating why the reason above really doesn't work.

Posted by centrahost, 10-16-2003, 01:05 PM
I will be more than happy to help anyone write ad copy that works.

Posted by CrazyTech, 10-16-2003, 03:36 PM
I don't have a problem with getting customers, I mean in the form of customers who are regular users of this board, or customers that sign up to use this board.

I was unable to respond earlier as I had changed my e-mail address after my initial post and did not receive an e-mail from moderators@webhostingtalk.com to re-activate my account until today. I stand behind my original statement regarding the quality of service I’m receiving. As webmaster and owner of my salon, my website is very important to me and NOC24 has delivered. This is only my opinion and you may draw your own conclusions. Changing your email has nothing to do with your account being active. Why did you need it "re-activated"? Did you just post once and then deactivate it? Also, you failed to respond to the question of what led you to come here to post. Who told you that would be a good thing to do? Answering this could do much to clear the air. No one is questioning your opinion, just what motivated you to make the special trip to a place you didn't previously frequent and haven't since frequented to post that opinion.

You changed your email address. When you do that, you receive anothe Confirmation email that you need to click the Activation link in. I've re-sent that for you. Why don't you all just lay the fillet into a fish or something and quit trying to cut down other hosts, my how did YOU find web hosting talk? I have been with noc24 a few weeks now and have been impressed, in reply to a question to me above, and this is my LAST post here becuase I don't feel like talking to a bunch of kids anymore.

Posted by ::K::, 10-17-2003, 08:31 PM
You know, some "one-post wonders" are real. If someone happens to hear about forums like these where people are looking for a host, they might pop in to make a suggestion... it's not a very weird thing or anything. Of course, since I'm fairly new myself I'm probably going to get bashed and people will say the guy paid me or something, but I don't even use his service and have nothing to do with him, my site is with Solid Internet, where I have a reseller account... although I don't sell hosting there, my site is just large. I don't have any opinion about noc24 here because I don't use them, but you know, it's pretty silly to get all suspicious whenever you see a new guy recommending a host. It's one of the two big problems I have with these forums, the other of which is the constantly recommending people to go to the Request forums when they ask for suggestions... In some ways this is a quite professional and friendly environment, but some people really come close to ruining the "experience"...

I am fixing to give them a try. I'll let everyone know how it goes

Can anyone enlighten me regarding the paysystems that NOC24 is using ? I'm so afraid that when i see the sentence "Please note that this is a recurring cost $xxx/mth" .... How will i know when i want to cut my ties with them, will i still get charged unknownly !?!?

Posted by Matt, 10-21-2003, 10:43 AM
You can cancel your recurring charges from re-billing from the paysystems "customer" site, the vendor does not have to do it.
