Im A Newbie, Please Help

Please tell me the pros and cons of getting my own server vs becoming a reseller (consider the fact that I know absolutley NOTHING about hosting and servers).
Also, who are the best hosting resellers and why? I hear voxtreme is good.
All comments are greatly appreciated. I am in the domain name business and run other websites but don't know that much about hosting other then I currently host with bluegravity.com

In the mean time learn as much as you can about the general hosting business, then try to learn about linux buy the time you are large enough to get a dedicated server you will/should have improved greatly with linux. For a reseller account may I recommend dxiesys.com or httpme.com
