Questions to Ask Tech Applicant
| Posted by bravelion, 04-12-2009, 10:15 PM | | My real estate office is interviewing for a new technical support person. Management has asked me to help by sitting in on interviews.
I'd like to know if there are some basic questions that would quickly rule in or out candidates (job description below). My MIS degree is from 1996, and though I certainly know a lot more than the average Realtor, especially about web stuff (having owned a small web hosting company), technology has in many ways outrun my knowledge.
We do know that the right person has to be a good trouble-shooter, and be able to tolerate and be nice and patient with end users who are pretty dumb about computers.
Our last tech guy wrote this list of requirements,
