What I can see from SSH, it only shows 2. ?
Is this really a Dual Opteron (2 cores each CPU = 4 cores total)?

| Posted by eth00, 04-11-2009, 05:26 PM | | Yes, that is a "dual opeteron", it has 2 opteron processors in it. The 248 is a single core cpu. I am pretty sure there are no dual core 248's.

Yes, I'm planning to do exactly that but first need to know how many cores does this server has? I was been told that it has 2 cores per CPU. Is this correct?

Basically you have what you can see, 2 physical cpus with 1 core each so a total of 2.

I do have rights to ask them to upgrade my server to the specs as was promised before right?

They call it bait and switch. In all honesty they probably just accidentally gave you the wrong server but you would be stupid not to ask them about it!
