Yum will not work unless you install yum-metadata-parser If your VPS/Server os is CentOS 5.2, install following packages to install YUM properly. rpm -ivh http://mirror.centos.org/centos-5/5....2.6-5.i386.rpm rpm -ivh http://mirror.centos.org/centos-5/5....1.2.1.i386.rpm rpm -ivh http://mirror.centos.org/centos-5/5....el5.noarch.rpm rpm -ivh http://mirror.centos.org/centos-5/5....el5.2.i386.rpm rpm -ivh http://mirror.centos.org/centos-5/5....0-2.noarch.rpm rpm -ivh http://mirror.centos.org/centos-5/5....8.el5.i386.rpm rpm -ivh http://mirror.centos.org/centos-5/5....2.el5.i386.rpm rpm -ivh http://mirror.centos.org/centos-5/5....s.1.noarch.rpm rpm -ivh http://mirror.centos.org/centos-5/5....3.6-2.i386.rpm rpm -ivh http://mirror.centos.org/centos-5/5....3.6-2.i386.rpm Last edited by servertechs; 04-10-2009 at 07:33 PM.
