how do i know where the load and memory is coming from

im running centos 5 64 bit, cpanel AMD Phenom 9600 the load is showing as : * Load Averages: 1.13 1.09 1.02 I don't know where the load is coming from. Normally im getting 0.00 or below .5 I clicked on that link show cpu processes but they are showing 0 I checked apache connections and no load too Please help me identify where the load reported in WHM is coming from Thanks

Login to ssh - type " top " Try htop http://htop.sourceforge.net/

Thanks! how do i write to a file the output of top so i can better view the results?

top -f > file Is a possibility but I believe the results will be jumbled. Sorry, don't have a test box to toy with right now.

o yes this htop - an interactive process viewer for Linux is a nice one
