Name Servers is this right?

Name Servers is this right? OK so I bought a dedicated server! Here is what I did; I installed cpanel and fantastico once all that was done I went and changed the host name. After changing the host name I went to change the name servers to work with the domain. It has been 3 days and it is still not working right. Here is what I think the reason it is not working. The domain name that I am using is located one another server and the dns is being pointed somewhere other then the created name servers. The other problem maybe I did not set them up right or something I do not know. If anyone has any answer to this please tell me. Thank you

Is your domain pointing to your new nameservers? Did you register the nameserver with the specified IP address? __________________HostPenguin - Separate Yourself ● A Christian Owned and Operated Hosting Provider!● Shared, Reseller, Virtual Private Server Hosting and Website Integrationshttp://www.HostPenguin.net - http://Integration.HostPenguin.net - Sales@HostPenguin.net

The domain will not point there tells me it can not. How do i register? You mean in WHM and assigning an ip to it?

You need to register the nameserver within your domain registrars control panel

Right it will not allow me to do that! Tells me it will not take.

Hmmm... You're better off contacting your registrars support techs or even just waiting a couple of hours as they might have a slight problem.

I have been trying for 3 days. My registrar doesn't know what the problem is. Dedicated server company said I set it up wrong (they are guessing).

Thank you You basically said you have not pointed your domain at your new name servers. Thats going to be why its not working. If your unsure, then why not post your domain name, new nameservers etc and have people here check it and advise you. __________________ Regards, Sam. www.protecweb.co.ukWindows Shared and Reseller Hosting with ASP.Net, MS SQL 2008, PHP, MySQL5 and more. I registered the domain at Bluehost which from the beginning was a bad decision because they don't specialize in that. I have to wait till monday to hear any word from their domain department.

Tell them you need it transferred and I would transfer it to namecheap or godaddy. __________________HostPenguin - Separate Yourself ● A Christian Owned and Operated Hosting Provider!● Shared, Reseller, Virtual Private Server Hosting and Website Integrationshttp://www.HostPenguin.net - http://Integration.HostPenguin.net - Sales@HostPenguin.net
