Transfering CPanel Accounts from a Reseller Account to a VPS without Root password? Hi guys/ladies, I was just wondering if someone has made a new tool/script yet that will allow yo to transfer CPanel accounts in bulk (not the old way of doing them one by one) to another server (VPS/Dedicated) without having root access? Like I know in order to use the WHM's transfer from server to server you need root access on both servers, but I'm asking, if you have a Reseller account, and a VPS/Dedicated server, I know last time I checked the only way to transfer accounts over was by making a Backup file for each account and then transfering it over which can take a while if you are doing a lot of accounts. So just wondering if this has been created yet by someone is all I'm asking. Thanks __________________ ||| HastyHost.com||| Shared, Reseller, and VPS||| Beware, We Do Not Oversell Services

Backup is the must in any case. If you have Cpanel accounts on the both sides that will take you few minutes. If you have no idea how - ask web tech support help you. Good luck __________________Sibername.com Canadian Domain Name Registration and Web Site Hosting Serviceshttp://www.sibername.com

As stated in my above post, it's not really a case of how to do anything, as I know all about the backup feature in CPanel and WHM, but was just wondering if anyone has made something simplier yet as it would seem the software/tool would be a high demand in todays Hosting industry. If you have 1000 accounts on a reseller, that can take a load of time to transfer one by one, so I was just wondering. __________________ ||| HastyHost.com||| Shared, Reseller, and VPS||| Beware, We Do Not Oversell Services

Have access to configure WHM's backup on the reseller? If so, look for this: "Remote FTP (Accounts Only)" under "backup type" in the "Configure Backup" section. You can have it transfer all the account backups to the new box, and from there move to /home and restore. [EDIT] Strike that, looks like WHM doesn't have an option to allow resellers to create and manage backups. Too bad. Perhaps your provider would be willing to CP the account backups to a place you can reach them for transfer via SCP? I don't think there's any tool available in the market yet. Remote backup and restore is the way to go. It will take an extra 30 seconds per account and some waiting time you can do something else. __________________www.premiumreseller.comReseller Hosting Cpanel 11 WHMResellerWindows Reseller Helm ASP.NET 3.5 MSSQL 2005

I don't think there is a method to transfer it without SSH or Root access. Have you tried contacting your host? Maybe your host can help you with the transferring process. Other than that, you might be stuck with just doing it the old fashion way. __________________Rageki Web Hosting Solutions - Canada
