Cpanel or rsync?
Posted by vB-WP-Admin, 12-07-2008, 02:28 PM | Cpanel or rsync?
I am using BQbackup to auto backup my CPanel VPS and was wondering whether it is best to use CPanelâÂÂs own backup service which automatically backs-up the vps daily or should I use the rsync script that bqbackup provides?
Which is easier to restore and more reliable?

What more is involved in rsync backup?
Also how does rsync assist in making an incremental backup of customers data?
Can a "point in time" recovery possible using rsync?
I have also heard that it is unreliable for taking MYSQL backups.
Is it true?
