can't squeeze more power from mysql
Posted by whdev, 11-26-2008, 02:35 PM | can't squeeze more power from mysql
When mysql server is overloaded, Queries are already optimized, sql configuration is already optimized, already upgraded to good server (quad core, 8gb ram and what not) and yet still not enough (high server load).
What's the next step? Mysql clusters? Any opinion? Thanks a lot WHT!

What disk's are you using ? SATA or SAS 10K or 15K
SAS disks are going to be a big improvement over SATA disks.
Also which tables are giving you the most problems in your SQL analysis ? can some of the data be archived or deleted ?
is it just for one site ? or many sites ?
Need to give a little more information, for a better answer.
Thanks
