How do live a machine?
I have a server in my office. I also have a ADSL router which is connected in ethernet. Now my question is how do I make this machine Live?
Please help.

Are you planning on hosting from it ? Not a very good idea unless its just for testing purposes.
To make it visible to the internet you will need to see if your router allows port forwarding, then port forward the ports you want to use.

| Posted by bear, 11-25-2008, 08:58 AM | | If you're trying to use it to test local development you don't need to make it live on the internet, you can use an internal IP for it. Assign an IP through your router (assuming you have one), and edit your Windows HOSTS file to point a fake domain to it. Works perfectly here.
