Best Host-Based IDS IPS ?

Hi All . I need a good Host Intrusion Prevent System (H IPS) and Host Intrusion Detection System (H IDS )... Please Help Me !!!

hello bro im new in security i have same ask like u i ask Ryan (rfx.net) he say me use only mod_security but i can suggest u use: save passwords in your mind and secure your PC THATS NUMBER ONE AIDE APF BDF change ssh port restrict IP access only your IP upadete kernel and programs remove programs that u dont need or start them when u need visit http://www.frsirt.com/english/ etc etc

Thank you , but i need one Host-based ips for defense from local buffer over flow , mod_security is good but mod_security only is a web application ips ... i like defense with : Local Heap Over Flow Local Buffer Over Flow Local Stack Over Flow Local Denial Of Service And Other Application Vulnerabilities .
