Ossec & cPanel?

I would like to know if its recommended the use of Ossec on a RHEL 3/4/5 plus cPanel?
Any advises or suggestions to avoid cPanel/services issues?

So if you get email about things you know that is right, you make OSSEC to ignore that file/process.
Some files get updated everyday, so you can ignore that file etc..
Been using OSSEC for a while now, and its all good.

In the last case, what ports need to be opened on firewall to allow data transfer?
