i got these on my logs: Also i check shell prompt and type "last" to view last connections -so everything is OK. So, can you explain why i view this China Telecom's IP in var/log/messages/ file?

Hi, This looks like a port scan. Change the following value to 30 or a lower value on proftpd.conf file. Increase the value in case you find any issues with connecting to server via ftp.

Unfortunately, such instances are not uncommon.
