MDADM Problem

I need some advice on this as I cannot get this server online. I have KVM access to the server and when I reboot the server the server comes up in the KVM and I am presented with this error "mdadm: No devices listed in conf file were found" which is strange as I can mdadm --assemble --scan and the arrays are then running. Any ideas?

If your /etc/mdadm/mdadm.conf file is empty, add the correct ARRAY entries in there with mdadm --detail --scan

echo 'DEVICE /dev/hd[a-z] /dev/sd*[a-z]' > mdadm.conf mdadm --examine --scan --config=mdadm.conf >> mdadm.conf
