Apache 1.3.xx or 2.xx
Posted by seodevhead, 01-10-2008, 02:22 PM | Hey guys,
I'm kinda new to configuring servers but have a very big website I want to put a new box I'm building, but am not sure if I should install Apache 1.3.xx or 2.xx. I see a TON of web hosts still use Apache 1.3.xx, but it seems that most books now a days say to install Apache 2.xx.
What is recommended and is there any reason not to go with Apache 2.xx? Thanks for your help and suggestions.

http://ca3.php.net/manual/en/install.unix.apache2.php
I'm not too keen on this stuff... do you guys think php 5 has these issues with Apache 2?
