Controlling SPAM?

Posted by stjoenetworks, 01-09-2008, 10:06 PM
I will preface this thread this way: I know there is no perfect solution to elimating SPAM and not losing "good email". What do you use that is working well for you? I need some suggestions? I don't have time to babysite/teach a spam filter as I get thousands and thousands of emails each day through various emails address on the server. I cannot use services such as easyat.com as they don't work with server that use a remote/clustered DNS. Thoughts???? I'd appreciate it. Thanks, ene

You may consider to have Bayesian Filtering, SpamAssassin added. Bayesian Filtering is good in learning the emails processed by the mail server

Bayesian filtering is okay if your a hobbiest user. We have customers using both SpamStopsHere and Postini anti-spam services with good success. I'd recommend the first, as they have better accuracy, but their interface isn't as pretty. A spam solution that actually saves you time needs to be managed. And you might as well have the experts manage it. The time saved using a premium anti-spam product will result in a positive ROI. I've been considering tryig MX Logic on some domains just to compare, but haven't had the time to return their sales person's calls.
