Speed Optimzation

I'd like your advice guys. Currently the server I'm on is the following: Intel Xeon Quad Core @ 2.4GHZ 4GB DDR2 RAM 2x 250GB SATAII HDD 100MBPS | SoftLayer Dallas cPanel | Apache 1.3.39 | PHP5 I currently have two high traffic vBulletin forums (400 guests average on both) running. About 35% of the RAM is used at once, and the loads are on average 0.70. I'd like your advice on what I should install/tweak (caching system maybe?) to get them running at optimal speed. Thanks, - Mike

Definately install one of the php caching software. It WILL improve the speed since you are running dynamic sites (forums).

If you are willing to pay extra, replace apache with LiteSpeed webserver, it's much more efficient.

Yes, and it's worth the extra money if you want the best performance possible for your two websites.
