Won't work =\

Posted by Looie, 01-06-2008, 03:24 PM
Right, when I rebuild my VPS (HyperVM) with Debian/Ubuntu, I can access it via SSH, but not on the web (port 80). I then realised the templates don't have apache installed, so I did apt-get install apache2 and rebooted, but it still doesn't work. The only way I can get it to work is using the CentOS afull template. Is this something I'm doing wrong? And if it is, how do I get apache2 to work properly?

Hi there, I guess a better place to get responses with regards to your problem is here: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=5 Anyway, are you sure that when you compiled Apache2 on your own, you did not come across any error messages? Thanks.

Well, I used apt-get and I'm sure there were no error messages.

Ah, I just tried again and it seems to be working okay now (Debian template with LightTPD).
