Hi, I would like to know the difference between FoxPro, Mysql, and Access? which one is faster, which one is better, and which is the most widely adopted software? Is FoxPro hard to program/use? thanks.

Mysql is best and FoxPro and Access are outdated one.

What type of program are you going to be making and what language are you going to be using?

Assuming whatever you're doing is going to be web-based, I'd suggest going with MySQL if only because it's very widely supported, so finding hosting or support will be easier.

MySQL is the best, its open source, and more commonly used, so getting support if required will be much easier, also with Fox Pro and Access you'll need licensing. MySQL is open source and free

And MySQL is also widely supported in a lot of the popular languages used for web apps like PHP.

Unless you're specifically having issues with MySQL, it is pretty much the standard for databases in web hosting.

FoxPro is a programming environment which includes both date persistence and a procedural language. MySQL is a SQL database engine (persistence) but no procedural language. The two are not equivalent. What type of application do you intend to develop?

Stay away from access. In my many years as an IT professional, I have rarely seen a more worthless piece of software.
