MySQL Status, help!

Posted by c00kie, 11-15-2007, 09:09 PM
It looks like this: Failed Attempts 134,815 / Total 956,969 Now.. I belive the number of Failed Attempts is CRAZY, what should there be done? Any ideas? I've read on dev.mysql about mysql_close and such, but on php.net they say it's not really useful if there isn't a mysql_pconnect... Anyway, you know better, HELP!

Where are you seeing the "Failed Attempts"? Does the log show the IP address from which the failed login occurred?

In PhpMyAdmin in the Runtime Information page. Hmm, i've added mysql_close() at the end of some pages and now(after I restarted the mysql daemon) I have something like: Failed Attempts 16,555 / Total 362,989 So I belive it's better , also added wait_timeout 15 and connect_timeout 15 in my.cnf :|

Oh I see query timeout issue. Yes, you should close the query properly. You can try increasing the following value also. query_cache_size
