some problem with room permission !

Hello ... i installed some wordpress program in my site by SSH root access ... so when i install it the wordpress folder had 0644 permission !! and chmod to root permission who can just edit the files and folders .... so now what the command to change the chmod permission to sitename ? the folder is [home] Thanks alot ...

thanks a bunch buddy but i have some question ! i wanna to delete a VB forum from my site by SSH root the command rm -R filename its keep asking for files permission ?? is there a command to delete all file without keep asking ? Thanks A bunch cywkevin .
